Homans Shred ALS
Vortex families,
This swim season our team will be raising money to help support one of our Vortex families. In May 2017, Jeff Homan, the father of 2 of our swimmers was diagnosed with ALS, (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) which is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. It is a disease that destroys nerve cells and causes disability. Doctors do not know why ALS occurs and the disease is fatal. There is no cure. Jeff has been seeing doctors at the ALS clinic in Indianapolis and the Mayo Clinic in Minnesota. You can find out more information about Jeff and his amazing family on their blog (https://homansshredals.com).
One of the many challenges the family is facing is the staggering cost of Jeff's healthcare. We will be selling Bomb Pops for $5 at each of our home meets. They will be available at a table next to our concession stand. We will also be accepting cash donations of any amount. 100% of the money collected will go directly to the family. Please help show the Homan's some Vortex love and support!
Thank you!
